Finally, March has arrived and the excitement that this month brings has my head swimming with the all the possibilities. New life, new promise, new opportunities, new blessings.
First, on a personal note, I am celebrating because I was finally able to walk 2.5 miles for the first time in 2 years! It has been a challenging time for me, and I am finally making some headway towards being physically able to do the things I once did without any problem.
I am happy and excited. I have tears in my eyes as I write this. I had to pinch myself because I was able to take my granddaughter on a walk for the first time…. ever. I am a person who has always loved to walk and hike. Not being able to do even a simple thing like that was a huge concern that has impacted my life and mental health tremendously. Sometimes the little things we take for granted seem like the biggest blessings when we get them back.
For those of you who also face challenges from autoimmune issues, injuries, or whatever it may be, I encourage you to keep your chin up, keep trying and stay positive. Those three little things will assist you and make all the difference in your fight. Even if you don’t think those things help, they do. They really, really do. You may not notice it, but sooner or later, if you stay positive, it will come back you two-fold.
Keep positive people around you, limit how much time and energy you give to negative people because you got to look out for YOU! This includes social media and news, if you take in a constant stream of negativity and drama, subconsciously it will become a habit for you.
Drama and negativity don’t promote healing and health. Positivity does.
So, whatever your challenge is, just know that I am with you and am in your corner! Sure as green in Spring, you will overcome if you keep a positive attitude and appreciate little blessings along the way.
And now, March is here and full of promise and positivity! March is Women’s History Month, Irish American Heritage Month, MS Month, Craft Month, Celery Month and more! Besides that, flowers are blooming, gardens are growing, birds are singing, and everything is turning green!
I encourage you to spend some positive time this month to cherish the women who have made a difference for YOU. Embrace, cherish and celebrate your heritage. Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, in your own way. Maybe invite a friend over, create something fun. Maybe you can get your green on and plant a little garden and grow some celery.
Whatever makes you laugh or brings you joy, make time to DO IT. You deserve a little time to have fun and be positive. March is the perfect month to start doing something good for yourself! Remember, spring is about new life, new promise, new opportunities, new blessings.
I hope you embrace your opportunities and cherish each one.
